Ibn 'Abbaas (Radi Allahu Anhumah) reported that the Prophet Muhammad (Sallalahu Alaihi Wasallam) said: " There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days." The people asked, "Not even jihaad for the sake of Allah?" He said, "Not even jihaad for the sake of Allah, except in the case of a man who went out to fight giving himself and his wealth up for the cause, and came back with nothing." ( Related by Bukhari ).
I'd like to share some great Dhul Hijjah and Hajj links with you, that I hope to update in sha Allah:
It's Eid tomorrow in sha Allah! We got another day of Ramadan. Another day of preparations, another day of fasting and iftar. But the best part for me was that I finally got to go for taraweeh at Masjid Ash Shoaibi! I hadn't been there this Ramadan. I loved it! I love the recitation with tajweed by Shaykh Abdullah Basfar and his son. I love the little talk in the middle (yesterday it was about improving ourselves and not giving up, to just keep going, fasting the six days of Shawwal, so many beautiful points)! I remember coming to this mosque in my teens. I will miss coming to this mosque, with it's quiet, calm interior during salaah, in the middle of the bustling Salamah district. I will miss all of this when I leave.
Please remember me and my family (including my cousin who I posted about it here) in your du'aas. May Allah bless you with a happy, beautiful, peaceful 'Eid al Fitr and a year filled with all that pleases Him, after it. Sunan of 'Eid.
